  1. ((Gling I noticed the report you put in the barracks about me stealing your farm. All your stuff is temporarily being stored in the warehouse and you just need me or an admin to get it out (protected to keep people from robbing you). Again I'm sorry I kicked you out but you didn't respond and the only reason I know you found out at all was because of your crime report.
  2. *This is nailed to the fence of Glingaeron's Farm* Imminent Eviction! Glingaeron Stormwind, due to poor maintenance of your aloted land in Fairwind Colony and a dire need to crops from your land you are being evicted from your farmhouse. You may remove this order by properly repairing the damages to your farmhouse and by properly caring for the fields. If this is not done in a resonable amount of time without prior notice we will continue with the eviction. If you are evicted your belongings will be stored and returned to you and because you will be lacking a place to stay you may take a new home for yourself. We are sorry for this sudden news and we expect your response, or lack there of, soon. ((First off I just want to say sorry about this. I'm removing you from the farm due to inactivity and because of the importance the farm represents for RP. Because of this the farm evictions will be the most likely to be carried out due to inactivity and nessisity. To prevent this from happening become active again, also if you are inactive due to vacation, work, or emergency letting us know would definatly help us. Also sharing the labor with somebody else might be a good way to make certain somebody is caring fields to have at least one person doing so. You will have by this wednesday to respond and possibly keep your farm. I'm sorry once again but it is simply too important of a building.
  3. *Once again a flyer is posted where people can see it* Good tidings for the Colony and words from the Mayor. 1st A Featherwind trade ship is current in port. Those interested in purchasing new goods and those that wish to sell goods to the mainland speak with Captain Thalanil. 2nd After much deliberation the Colony will henceforth be called “Fairwind Layover” or “Fairwind” for short. This new name will hopefully define us for the future. 3rd There has been a request for grain by the Featherwind company there may be a slight reduction in fresh grains till the shipment is fulfilled. This shipment however will pay for new building supplies, tools, and other support offered by the Featherwind company. 4th A shipment of new tools will be provided by the Featherwind company at the arrival of the next trade ship. These tools will be provided to the workers who require them and will allow us not use our precious iron. 5th Finally to help support the colony the Featherwind company has agreed to help supply the colonists with individual items they might need. Please send items you request to the mayor or to the Featherwind company representatives. (Please comment below on what items your character would like to request from the Featherwind company. Please note that not all items may be provided but some specialty goods or comforts might be available.) 6th Due to a rise in intolerance starting to emerge in the colony I want to remind everyone that we are all facing the hardships of the colony together. Any intolerance that leads to a weakening of Fairwind will be dealt with harshly. Please make sure to do your best for the good of Fairwind Layover and remember we should use what resources we can to hack out a life on the frontier. ~Casimire Johanesse
  4. *A flyer is posted around the town in places where people can see it* Important from the Mayor After my recent election I have a few things to announce to the people of the Colony. I will try to make a habit of distributing information to keep people aware of what is going on in our Colony. 1st: For people willing to learn to defend themselves, they are now able to receive training. Captain Bachmeirr has agreed to train any citizens who wish to pick up arms, simply speak to him to arrange training. 2nd: The establishment of the town militia is underway. If you believe you are skilled enough or willing to defend this town and you don’t wish to be a guard speak to the Mayor to volunteer for the militia. As of now the militia will only be called upon for immediate defense of the Colony or be used to find people willing to embark on other missions. 3rd: As the ledger of the Viceroy is still missing a new ledger is being made. All people who wish to change occupations or job focuses should speak to the Mayor at this time. If you are content with your current work then simply tell the Mayor what your role is within the town. This is simply a record and not set in stone, if people still wish to change their current work assignment at a later date they simply need to speak to the Mayor. 4th: For the miners the Mayor has a job for you. Speak with him for more details about the assignment, you will be well compensated. 5th: Lastly the Colony has reached a point where it deserves a real name. The Mayor will be choosing a name shortly after deliberation but if there are any good ideas please let him know. If anything else comes up look for these flyers. If you believe something should be told to everyone let the Mayor know and he will look into posting it similar. ((This portion is OOC. If anyone has town names they think would fit the Colony please put them in the replies here. If you like a particular name that you want me to consider that someone mentioned please upvote that comment. I hope we can make a good name together and please participate or else I will name the town something stupid like “Fairweather Landing, Johanesseburg, or Wittelstead.”))
  5. *Rises to his feet again after a lull in the debate* If I may speak again? I have something to add to address the concerns that have been risen. *After getting a nod of approval he limps back up to the podium and looks over the crowd* Before I begin the concerns raised are valid ones, especially those related to the defense of Gammon from the Wildlings. Scouting out to find them, expanding to create border outposts, and destroying them are all valid and important things that we should try to achieve. However, at this current time we do not have the man power to achieve these results. We barely have enough men to guard our own walls, let alone border outposts that will provide security to our town or provide early warning for attacks beyond our watch towers. Scouting is more reasonable and doable at this time however actually engaging them in head to head confrontation will be foolhardy and suicidal. From what I heard hundreds of Wildlings attacked when they took our city, the amount of guards we have are not even close to that number. The reason I wished to provide arms training to the capable citizens is to raise our combat capabilities so that if we are attacked again we at least have a chance, and the volunteer militia can provide the extra support to our guards if such a raid is ever enacted. The defenses also proposed are a wonderful idea, working to build traps to slow down and hinder invaders could be an effective strategy however long term works like a moat or other such defenses will take time, time that you mentioned we do not have. I'm fully aware of the dangers the colony faces, and do not think for a moment that I will neglect our defenses even for an instant. The survival of this colony depends on the survival of us, and after getting to know all of you I will do my utmost to see to your safety. *With that final note he slowly makes his way back to his seat. With a slight groan he sits down and rubs his sore leg, hoping he will not have to address other counterarguments*
  6. *looks over the blank face and does a slight cough as he readjusts the sling on his right arm. After a moment he looks out over the colony and says in a loud voice* Good evening people of Gammon Colony. For those of you that don’t know me I am Casimire Johanesse, the farmer. Now I know a lot has happened in these past few weeks, and now suddenly we have to elect a new leader to replace the Viceroy. Despite this I want to tell you all that I will be throwing my hat into the ring and attempt to bring this colony together. Now many of you may be questioning what are my qualifications, what do I bring to the table that makes me eligible for mayor. To be honest I do have some faults: I’m young, I’m no military expert, I don’t have experience running a town, and I’m almost as scared about this situation as the rest of you. However despite this I do know one thing, I’m one of the common people, I understand what makes a town run and what we need to achieve it. I don’t have all the knowledge, but do you know who does? Everyone here. If I’m elected mayor I plan on leading, but leading by organizing. I don’t know anything about tactics or strategy, but I do know that Captain Peter does. I don’t know the first thing about accounting but there are a number of merchants from Featherwind that do. I don’t know these things, but I know people who do and I’m willing to learn. So that this town will have experts who understand the situation at hand and is capable of handling any situation that arises in the future! *after that loud ending he takes a deep breath, organizing his thoughts he is silent for a moment, continuing to look out over the crowd. After a brief pause he begins again* We have much to thank to the Featherwind trading company for organizing this colony. We have come here and placed ourselves at the Frontier, however with the Frontier there are dangers. As you all know there are barbarians, bandits, and killers outside the colony. To address this I intend on finding ways to bolster our defenses. As I stated earlier I intend on speaking to the guards to see what they require for protecting us and what policies we should take to ensure our safety. Despite this I intend on seeing to it that not only will our guards have the proper training to fight off the wildlings but that every able adult receive some training to defend themselves. I know that this will impose upon your regular day to day but as we have seen we can’t always rely on others, the heroes who retook this city were not only our guards, but men and women who had simple skill of arms and were willing to fight for their home. I won’t be imposing a requirement upon you all, but I will be giving you the opportunity to learn to protect yourselves and your livelihood. I also will be looking into establishing a volunteer militia that will train alongside our guards but only be called upon during times of crisis. Now, many of you may question these ideas based on my lack of experience, however I was there when we first lost the town. My farm was touched by the flames of these barbarians. I helped plan and organize the scouting party made up of regular citizens who helped take back our city. *motions to his broken arm, and the numerous other wounds he has* I put my life on the line for this colony, alongside many others, and I can say with certainty that they are the foundation for our safety. This is how I intend on protecting us and this is great colony. There is so much that I could say to talk about what I plan on doing to provide for this town but there is simply not enough time in the day to begin describing my thoughts. So I will simplify it by saying this. I intend to make this town great, even if I’m not elected I will work for this town. My goal is to create solidarity for all the community of Gammon. We have a rare opportunity to grow on untouched land, and I intend on making certain we can continue to fully utilize our resources. I intend on maintaining good relations with the Featherwind trading company to export our excess goods and give us trade opportunities for the future. I also plan on looking into developing trades that will put us on the map and provide a steady income to the town. This town needs growth and as of right now we only have the basics of the basics, what I hope for is creating a bustling trade city that we can truly be proud of instead of scraping by on the skin of our teeth. Yet I won’t lie it will be difficult, in times like these we need to do our utmost to be prepared for hardship. We all lost something in these attacks and I believe that we need to come together to help each other rebuild both our homes, and our lives. It will be a hard road but together I believe we can achieve something great for our town. I will make myself available for others, listening to your comments, concerns, and ideas for the colony’s expansion. I agree with my competitors that apprenticeships, trainings, and outside hiring will help us expand but above all I want to make certain that if you elect me I will do my utmost to listen to the will of the people. The future for Gammon starts now, and I hope we can work together to achieve that future. Thank you. *with a lopsided awkward bow he limps off the podium, he settles down into his seat waiting for the next speaker to make their case*
  7. So I was just browsing this website I helped with during my internship and found some interesting articiles that I thought would be nice to share. This first one is all about farming and how people portray it in novels: http://www.tor.com/2017/01/26/never-discount-the-farmboy-the-labor-of-food/ The second article I just found humorous (Especially "Nope. Wrong way, turn around"): http://www.tor.com/2017/01/27/presenting-rock-artist-creates-best-possible-titles-for-paintings/
  8. (For this first situation I want to point out that my character is not a major combatant but there is a possibility of it occurring during RP. For this situation I will assume that I have more then a basic combat experience since I'm on "guard duty") *looks at the man and draws his sword as he says to him* I'm certain since you are pursuing this career that you understand just how serious of a matter this is. I can't allow you to continue on, release the slaves and I will let you be on your way. If not then you will have to try to cut my tongue out, however know that you are wielding a knife while I'm better equipped. Know also that slavery will defiantly lead to your imprisonment but assaulting, possibly even killing, a guard will get you far worse where you might actually be put to death. Now I won't let you stab me with a rusty filthy thing like that but if you do the other guard patrols will probably arrive by that time, and you have consigned yourself to an even worse fate. *Gets into a combat stance* Now, you get to make a choice. Try to fight me or run away from your cage, because I refuse to take your bribe you slaving piece of human waste. *Freezes in place as he looks at the situation, his eyes wide as he looks at the madman then at the hostages* Please give me a moment! *looks to the veteran, imploring him with his eyes to give him some signal, some hint at what to pick* Give me the girl, kill the old man. *Closes his eyes and prays, prays to all the gods that the veteran is skilled enough to handle the madman, prays that he forgives him for trying to preserve the life of a girl who has her whole life ahead of her* (If the madman kills the old man) *Johanesse wipes his brow as he finishes loading the last crate then walks to pick up his salary from the foreman. As he takes it he nods to the foreman in thanks and begins walking down the street towards the residential area. Along the way he stops to pick up some food, flowers, and puts a large portion of the coins into a separate bag. As he approaches his destination he breaths deeply, steeling himself for what is to come. With trepidation he knocks on the door, waiting for the woman to open the door* Hello again... may I come in? *He enters the home and walks to the usual place in the back room, setting the flowers under the picture of the old man. After a moment sitting in silence he rises and holds out the coin purse to the woman* Thank you for letting me come back in today. *After speaking to her briefly he walks back outside. Heading to his temporary lodging, waiting for them, and himself, to finally forgive him so he can continue his journey*

He often wears black gloves to keep dirt off his hands and keeps himself neat and clean. Biography: Hailing from Galvanor Casimire Johanesse is a hardworking young man who has made his way to Gammon in search of his fortune. After making a decision to head to Gammon he worked his way to the coasts of Galvanor. He did this by performing odd jobs along the way like helping transport cargo to other cities for wagon rides, picking crops to pay for supplies, working at side stalls to keep himself fed, and even hiring himself out on a ship for the Featherwind Trading Company just to eventually reach Gammon. Johanesse made a number of friends along the way and his hard work eventually paid off when he finally took his first step on Gammon. Johanesse originally was from a medium sized trade town in central Galvanor. He grew up among his friends and family in a happy peaceful life. Despite this Johanesse was not satisfied with the general day to day in his boring town. As times went on rumors of the rediscover of Gammon finally reached the marketplace, and Johanesse was among a number of hopefuls who dreamed of traveling there and seeking adventure. Johanesse however had no intention of actually going, he had plenty of friends and was already starting to develop a phobia to uncleanliness: so why go at all? One day his father sat him down and listed some options for Johanesse, saying that it was time for him to start thinking about his own future. Surprisingly when it was all lain out before him Johanesse realized there was nothing exciting he wanted from his home and the newness and adventure that Gammon promised was calling him. After much debating Johanesse’s family agreed that it would do him some good to see the world, and Johanesse began his journey to the coast and then eventually to Gammon. I was leaving early to head on a day trip the next morning and did not do my best work on the application to try have it done before I left.
  10. Looking forward to it.

He often wears black gloves to keep dirt off his hands and keeps himself neat and clean. Biography: Casimire traveled to Gammon in search of new prospects. A careful man from the human kingdoms he is keen to find any work that might benefit him in the long run. Although he is a bit of a neat freak and an advocate of cleanliness he is a reliable person who tries to treat everyone equally (even those that don’t believe in his lifestyle). Casimire first made his way to Gammon trying to find a better life outside of his grimy home town. After making a careful plan he hitched rides across the country towards the coast, taking up hundreds of odd jobs along the way. After reaching the coast he hired himself out on a Featherwind ship and made his way to Gammon. Hopefully they cleaned it up enough for him. 12. Hello everyone. My name is BladeStorm95 and I'm a returning player to Asmalur. I have rped for a long time across many servers and I'm interested in seeing where Asmalur is heading with its return. If I'm ever online feel free to ask me to RP. I've played D&D, pathfinder, minecraft servers of many types, and Rped in another of other mediums. My experience in these roles ranged from DM, Event Team, Admin, Vice-Owner, Head of Roleplaying and Player Relations, and a regular player, so needless to say I've been around the block so to speak. The only other major information I have to offer is that I will be studying abroad until May so I will be on a different time schedule and I also have fairly poor wifi. Hope to meet with you all soon. I look forward to Rping with all of you. -BladeStorm95
